Nightbox – ‘In The Rural’

Avatar

Irish via Toronto band Nightbox have come back with new material to follow up their quietly bubbling but niche loved singles from the last two years.

We have heard ‘Burning’, the title song from The Panic Sequence EP but ‘In The Rural’, their latest, pushes their sound into new directions that suit them. The band’s trusted melodic are as strong as ever but the song finds them moving away from those Two Door Cinema comparisions into more Cut Copy electro division.

It’s a fitting sound for them and it seems the co-production from Al-P of MSTRKRFT and co-writing from Sebastien Grainger of DFA 1979 is helping add a sheen to that as they go. The EP is out on Toronto label Rare Beef worldwide via Caroline.
