October Nights brings an eclectic lineup featuring Celaviedmai, Peter Broderick, Laurie Shaw & more to Ballina
October Nights is an “all styles live music night happening in Ballina in Mayo on the October bank holiday weekend, on Saturday October 28th & Sunday October 29th.
After last year’s Mayo artist focus event with Seamus Fogarty, Brigid Mae Power, Uppbeat, this year’s weekender will feature an eclectic lineup featuring Galway rapper Celaviedmai, folk songwriter Peter Broderick performing from his new album on Erased Tapes – Give It To The Sky: Arthur Russell’s Tower of Meaning Expanded, Mayo harpist Alannah Thornburgh, the Clare “cosmic, folk-informed, jazz-tinged, post-pop” artist Siomha, Ballina DIY krauty-psychey-dancey-noisey-punky two-piece YOP, and the prolific Kerry via Wirral artist Laurie Shaw who spent a week in Ballina this past summer where he wrote an album to mark three hundred years since the formal establishment of the town of Ballina called The Neck Of The Woods.
