Tropicalia legends Os Mutantes reformed in 2006 and played their first shows ever outside of their native Brazil after 30 years. Now they are coming to Dublin, Vicar Street to be exact on the 26th of July. Tickets are €33.60 but will definitely be worth it. The history of the Tropicalia movement is one of artistic repression which began in the late 1960’s in Brazil. For a primer into the music and the history I recommend the Tropicalia compliation which came out on Soul Jazz Records last summer and which features a comprehensive history of the period.

Now this will be brilliant, i can not wait!
Being used on an ad at the moment too actually. God knows what it’s advertising though.
10/10 & Better with a typically tropical beverage!
I was so annoyed that they weren’t at EP last year despite being – sort of – announced.. now I’ll probably see them twice in like a week!
And yeah colly… A Minha Menina is in the Bulmer’s summer ad.. maybe they’ll be the new Peter Bjorn and John!
