Premiere: Kev Sheridan’s video for ‘Alone In Berlin’ is a must-see for all Boards of Canada fans
Today marks the release of a new track from Irish producer and DJ Kev Sheridan. The track, entitled ‘Alone In Berlin’ is the first single from Sheridan’s debut EP of the same name. The track is released via Maeve records, an Irish label operating out of Berlin.
Sheridan himself is based in Berlin and produces an exciting blend of ambient and minimal house. The track is filled with the sort of evolving rhythms and textures you’d expect from Boards Of Canada’s iconic album Music Has The Right To Children.
The video, a collection of family home videos, seems like a nostalgic yearning from an artist dealing with life alone in a foreign country. There’s something poignant between the reflective audio and the simple images of childhood life in Dublin.
Alone In Berlin is out now.
