I’m really surprised that no Kodaline videos made the top 10, given that it’s how they made their name. Is it because no-one liked them, or is it because that due to their major label backing, many don’t consider them to be an Irish band?
Hey Christopher, I think it’s just a case of most of the audience for this blog wouldn’t be into them. They only popped up in the EP votes, narrowly missing out on a spot.
Did Wife not get a look in for best video of the year with Bodies?
No votes for it. Think Wife aren’t too well known here yet.
Also, they maybe not have been identified as Irish.
Fair enough. They should be identified as Irish though, right? Will be interesting to hear how they sound live on Saturday.
Well done everyone!
No sign of any SlowPlaceLikeHome stuffs in these polls! Booo. What about the amazingly simple ode to Dublin streetlights in “there go the lights again’ video? The shockingly pretty album of the same name, or even the glorious Coastal Hubs… EP which opened the year?! Selkie is one of the highlight tracks of the year.
