Roosevelt returns with new album Young Romance; hear the sunkissed ‘Under The Sun’

The German-born electro-disco artist Marius Lauber AKA Roosevelt has been consistent in releasing sprightly and sheenful electronic pop in the last few years so it’s good to hear he will follow up his self-titled 2016 debut with a new album this year.

Young Romance gets a release on Greco-Roman / City Slang on September 28 and was written, recorded and produced in 6 months with Lauber surrounded by vintage synths in his new studio of his hometown before finishing it in LA – where it was also mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House/Grizzly Bear/Future Islands).

The album’s first cut ‘Under The Sun’ is typical of Roosevelt’s sunny charms. Perfect music for the summer weather we are having.

“I ended up processing a lot of emotions that I felt during my youth” Lauber says, “faded relationships that haunted me for years, being on the road for what seemed like forever and the constant search of a place to call home.”
