The Irish Iranian music duo of Kaveh Ayati and Patrick O’Keeffe first met at a house party in Tehran in Iran. When they met at a London rehearsal space separately, Safe Barracks, their music project was born.
Safe Barracks debuted with a leather / S&M featuring video for their moody electro track ‘Headhunter’ last year and now, the London-based band have a debut EP called Ruminate on the way.
Their debut EP addresses “mindfulness to mindlessness” from “optimism to pessimism” and samples the animal sound database provided by the London Natural History Museum’s BioAcoustica database.
‘To Shield Your Eyes’ is the EP’s first track, a track that combines floating vocal lines with a tough boxing bassline rhythm. Watch out for more from the pair when the EP drops tomorrow.
The EP is available on vinyl and across all digital platforms, on Save Paris Records.
