Skinner’s ‘Sometimes My Brain Is Goo’ is rage against the expectations of your early 20s
Skinner is an artist we’ve been mightly impressed with throughout 2019.
The Dublin-based musician’s sharp blend of slacker-pop, bedroom rock and punk aesthetics is perhaps the finest of its sort in the country.
New single ‘Sometimes My Brain Is Goo’ is an excellent addition to the artist’s discography. His third single of the year, the song is a tempestuous rage against the pressures and expectation placed upon young adults.
It’s a sharp tune. We especially like the very dreary effect the horns give the mix, almost a palpable sense of anxiety over the unrelenting rhythm section.
With more big releases and news on the way, we’re delighted to announce that site manager Niall Byrne is operating as Skinner’s manager.
