After last night’s rather lovely live streamed show, Soda Blonde released one of their best songs yet as a single.
‘Love Me World’ is a song that addresses the yearning for everyone to like you set to a bright and airy backing from the band.
“Love Me World’ is a song about acknowledging the darker moments of wanting to be loved by everyone. The idea of bending to fit the zeitgeist in the pursuit of acceptance and love.’”
– Faye O’Rourke (Lead singer).
The single follows their Isolation Content EP, music written in lockdown and released in May.
A debut album is forthcoming.
Soda Blonde feature four members of the band that were Little Green Cars and they are Faye O’Rourke (singer), Adam O’Regan (keys and guitar), Donagh Seaver O’Leary (bass) and Dylan Lynch (drums).
Love Me World Lyrics
Someday I know I will be leaving
Virtual connection is not appealing
Will you be my orphan love and when it gets too tough I’ll give you away
Be the bullet in my side to remind me that love is pain.
Love me world I want you to love me world
Love me world I want you
Afraid of everybody’s success I confess
Everyone’s dangerous to my ideas of myself
I was lookin for a feeling, validate me, shape me, heal me with love
But from my family and friends and even you my darlings not enough
Love me world I want you to love me world
Love me world I want you
Who are ya?
Who are ya?
Love me world I want you to love me world
Love me world I want you
Love me world I need you to love me world
Love me world I want you
