My favourite musical interlude from possibly my favourite film of all-time, Mathieu Kassovitz’s La Haine. MP3 below.
The DJ is Cut Killer and the samples are:
– KRS-One – Sound Of Da Police
– Edith Piaf – Non , Je Ne Regrette Rien
– NTM – Nique la Police

savage, i love this scene…
wish i could listen to it now, no headphones, in college.
playing out to the boys on the estate, brilliant…
great stuff mate.
love this movie and what a scene.
in work now with my headphones on.
f**k this next conference call…i’m off!
So damn good.
I wonder how they did that last shot? It doesn’t look like it could be a crane, or a chopper. Ow, my brain..
Any creative activity in a ghetto is a good activity. These suburbs in France are odious pieces of junk architecture absolutely bare.
what a mix.
Brilliant scene from possibly the greatest film of all time..
nouveau noise robbed some of it! its in the tune up on their myspace
One of the greatest cinematic scenes of the last twenty years, 100% classic. What the hell inspired that bit of nostalgia I don’t know but thanks a million for putting it up, love it.
To the comment above from holy roman army – I watched la haine again the other night for the first time in a good few years and asked nialler to search the net for the tune! 🙂
It will be the first tune on the indie hour tonight…
old school man. old school
womper!
Its been said already but one of the best scenes from one of the best films. Picked up the soundtrack recently but that song ain’t on it. Nice one.
Maybe there is no better music interlude, but you should check the intro of “Sheitan”, I guess you will appreciate it:

BTW Vincent Cassel takes part in both movies.
