Jackie Deluxe
Outside
Jackie Deluxe is a new project from Cork singer-songwriter Caoilian Sherlock and Irish electronic producer Keith Diffley aka Diffly.
‘Outside’ is a fine slice of cathartic euphoria-drenched electronic pop, casting Sherlock’s normally folk and country songwriting tones in a new light.

Bittersweet Rescue
Dreamy Phoenix-esque indie pop stylings from Brendan McGlynn’s who normally goes for brasher synth pop sounds. It’s from the forthcoming EP I Think I’m On A Comedown out June 13th, and was written in New York, and “draws inspiration from Robin Gibb’s solo record How Old Are You, which shares similar themes and a similar setting. “
Recorded between New York, Donegal, and Dublin, Bittersweet Rescue features Adam O’Regan and Dylan Lynch of Soda Blonde, who also co-produced the track.
Laurie Shaw
Your Side Of The Bed
The B-side of recent single ‘Is Maith Liom Pop Ceol’ which was recorded on the same day – April 19th 2025 as the A-side, with both released the same day.
It’s usually suspect when an artist is ripping through release dates like there’s no tomorrow but the Kerry Wirral singer-songwriter Laurie Shaw has been at it for a long time, releasing dozens albums like this for years now, without much dip in quality.
‘Your Side Of The Bed’ is a series of lyrical vignettes that speak to the kind of insightful writer that Shaw is, while also growing from acoustic number to a brassy finish.
Gender Chores
Woman Of Your Age
The Belfast queer punk band Gender Chores are the second Irish band in recent weeks to recall Fight Like Apes with a synth-pop rock tone.
‘Woman Of Your Age’ is a song addressing the all-too-common dismissal of female personal experiences and pain, whether its endometriosis, trans heath or anything else in a healthcare and medical environment.
“While the title of this song refers to that eye-roll-inducing phrase most feminine-presenting people will have heard since turning 25, Woman Of Your Age is for anyone who has felt dismissed, ignored, or had their concerns trivialised in medical or healthcare settings.
Whether you are a trans person on the years-long waiting list to see the only gender identity specialist in the country, a neurodivergent person whose mental health specialist said “we’re all a bit autistic aren’t we?”, a woman campaigning for a long-suspected PCOS or endometriosis diagnosis, or someone who avoids healthcare altogether due to medical fatphobia – this song is for you and everyone else who has felt undermined by their healthcare provider, and we hope it reaches you.”
