5. Lapalux – ‘Movement I, II & III’
Stuart Howard aka Lapalux is responsible for some oozy and woozy electronic music. Releasing on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder label, his liquid music is a good fit for a roster that includes Daedelus, Samiyam and Thundercat. ‘Movement I, II & III’ is a three-part track which moves from hazed synths accompanied by blunted beats through jazzy soul twilit passages before circling both styles into one long outro.
Niall Byrne is the founder of the most-influential Irish music site Nialler9, where he has been writing about music since 2005.
