The Mary Wallopers have released their first single since last year’s Home Boys Home EP.
‘The Juice’ is a Mary Wallopers original, written by brothers Charles and Andrew Hendy, and has offers a fresh take on the band’s trad tunes with a bluesy country riff and a bagpipes solo, while still, of course, as is custom, singing about lovely porter pints.
“This is a song for all the exhausted people, fed up of all the greedy crooks, who still manage to squeeze a bit of juice out of life.”
‘The Juice’ was written by Andrew Hendy and Charles Hendy and performed by The Mary Wallopers, and was produced by regular studio David Noonan at Black Mountain Studio, Dundalk.
