The Charlatans’ frontman Tim Burgess is playing a DJ set down in West Cork this weekend, with Arveene on support.
‘The Only One I Know’ hitmaker Tim Burgess will be putting down the microphone at Connolly’s of Leap this Saturday, donning his DJ hat for a night of dancefloor bangers at the cult music venue, alongside Kneecap co-producer Arveene Juthan on warm-up duties.
While he is best known as the singer of UK indie outfit The Charlatans, Tim has been DJing since 94′, kicking off at the legendary Heavenly Social in London with The Chemical Brothers. Since then, he has graced dancefloors from New York to Stockholm.
Gig goers knocking down to Connolly’s this weekend can expect a mix of psychedelic Heavenly Social classics, rare Cure tracks, and floor fillers.
On warm up is producer, promoter, remixer and Irish dance music scene mainstay Arveene Juthan, who has supported The Prodigy, Nightmares on Wax, Daft Punk, Leftfield, and Underworld, produced Kneecap tunes, and is one half of the hip-hop duo Bon Voyage.
Tim brings a wide array of music from rare Cure tracks that work on a dancefloor to psychedelic heavenly social classics. Expect high-energy guitars, synths, and percussion colliding, spanning all sorts of genres and sounds. Arveene will be warming up with a set of slow chug house and Balearic breaks – Arveene
