Toby Kaar’s debut EP is getting released in March
It has been a long time coming. I first saw Toby Kaar’s live show, this week, FIVE years ago. Today, comes the news that the Cork producer Toby Kaar will finally release his debut EP with Dublin label Music Is For Losers on the 18th of March.
The Gumbrielle EP features four tracks and its sound will be familiar to those who have seen Kaar play live over the intervening years. ‘SnapDragon’ the first song from the EP features Kaar’s emotive cut-up electronic beat style and sounds like a playful Hud Mo track.
According to the press release, The EP was produced on “a broken nine year old computer” and features “an eclectic mix of samples ranging from jazz blogs to Asian supermarkets”.
