Tower Records have some pretty sweet deals on this Record Store Day

Luke Sharkey

Record Store Day is nearly upon us once again. This Saturday, the 13th, is one of the most important days to get out and support your local record store with some hard earned dollar.

Tower Records is among the most ubiquitous independently owned record stores in the capital. As such, it’s not much of a surprise the store is offering plenty of rarities and bargains to please any and all musical tastes.

A special edition of The Gorrilaz’s The Fall and the raw mixes of John Lennon’s Imagine would be what I’d drop cash on first, but that’s just me. You can pop on over the store’s website for the full offerings.

Although no bands seem to be listed for the day, the store will be hosting Fontaines D.C. for an album launch tonight and Walking On Cars will be performing on the 11th. All Tvvins will also be playing an album launch on Friday the 12th at 1 pm. Tickets for those gigs are available through LP pre-orders, head to the site to get that done.

Record stores matter, support yours.
