Vance Kass explores industry in isolation in video for ‘Give It Love’ (premiere)
Today we’re premiering a brand new single and video from Irish artist Vance Kass.
‘Give It Love’ is the second single from Kass, who debuted with ‘Underdose’ back in February.
‘Give It Love’ was written and recorded while in isolation, a theme fully reflected in the somewhat claustrophobic all black and white video.
Lyrically, ‘Give It Love’ explores the idea of industry, specifically where it intersects in the everyday of peoples lives.
It’s a song that draws you in, encouraging repeat listens. Much like ‘Underdose’ (Kass’ previous single), ‘Give It Love’ is arranged like a hip-hop tune and topped off with hushed, sung vocals.
However, the sampling in this new single is superb. There’s a real bling era hip-hop vibe to the soulful vocal chops, reinforced with some mighty soulful organ blasts.
Really excellent stuff from one of the nation’s newest artists.
