Ever the connector, Wicklow artist ZASKA enlisted the help of 16 Irish artists under the name of The Isolation Choir including Tolü Makay, God Knows, Wyvern Lingo, Faye O’Rourke (Soda Blonde), Gemma Dunleavy, Jess Kav (BARQ/The Waterboys), James Smith (Gypsies On The Autobahn), Danny Groenland (Danny G & the Major 7ths, Carly Coonagh, Nichola Hegarty, Keith Fennell, with Neil Dorrington (BARQ) on bass
and Dylan Lynch (Soda Blonde) on Drums.
‘My Whole Heart’ was written, recorded, and mixed entirely in isolation between all the performers with Zaska producing it from his home in Kildare using voice memos, mails and messages to co-ordinate.
The song is a rallying call to be authentic yourself, with lyrics referencing our current trying times.
