Skibereen R&B artist Rushes released his debut project Glowchild a few months back, and the long player was teased with a performance of one track ‘Blue Ghost’ shot in a boat on Lough Hyne in Cork.
It makes continuity sense that Rushes has made use of his scenic surroundings once more on a live performance video shot on a sea arch at Skeam Island at Roaringwater Bay, County Cork.

“My good friend Darragh Casey who shot the video is a location scouting genius, especially around West Cork. He let me know about Skeams Island and the arch that’s out there. We took a little boat to the island and shot the video right as the sun was setting. What a great way to spend a Sunday evening.”
Rushes is playing a headline live show this Saturday November 20th in The Sound House, the first time he will be playing Glowchild live, and he’s pumped.
“I haven’t played a show in two years and this will be the very first time I get to perform the songs from my Glowchild project. I really can’t wait to just take it to the stage and let it breath a new life! Efé who’s on support for the night is my favourite Irish artist right now too, we’ve been working on something special for the show so it’s gonna be one you don’t wanna miss!”
