The beauty of music discovery, fan or critic, music blogger, curator or listener, is that you never know where the next one is coming from.

It’s always exciting – genuinely – for myself to come across some Irish music that I didn’t either seek out myself, was sent or recommended. These days it’s exciting when an Irish artist you’ve never heard of (not for lack of trying to be aware of everything mind), comes across your radar.

Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet is a producer who has form in shining a light on Irish underground artists. He was playing out ‘Bonk’ a track from the Irish producer Matt Finnegan aka Plus One which featured on the Galway compilation Ar Ais Arís.

Last night, Four Tet was at it again, sharing a track ‘415’ and album from an unknown Cork producer Capital D, which he played on his recent Lot radio set.

The track is a bubbly synth minimal production number, from the producer from Cork, who also possibly goes by the name ‘Linus’ due to this Soundcloud account and also how Kieran Hebden introduced it as such.

The Bandcamp account is called Capital D or 😀 and is tagged as ‘Cork’, ‘electro’, ‘house’ and ‘ambient’ and there are 10 tracks on songs pt.2.

Anyway, get in touch if you know who this is. We love a good mystery.

The track comes in on the Lot Radio show recording at 27 mins, right before a Four Tet unreleased Mazzy Star remix.
