Wolf like Me video
I know I’ve been overdosing on the YouTube videos of late, but TV on the Radio have released the video for one of my favourite tracks this year – “Wolf Like Me”. It is one of those songs that evokes such rich imagery that when the video comes around, there’s a good chance it can disappoint.
Not this time, director Jon Watts has chosen to place the song in a largely monochrome 80’s B-movie a lot like some of the bad films I’ve been watching lately. The special effects are deliberately bad and the costumes are dodgy. The whole thing is somewhere between Cool as Ice, Thriller and Michel Gondry’s “Everlong” video for the Foo Fighters. I like.
Incidentally, TV on the Radio are playing TBMC on the 7th of November as part of a small UK & Ireland tour. Really looking forward to it and it’s the night after the CSS show in Whelans!
