100 bands announced for Hard Working Class Heroes
Hard Working Class Heroes, the new Irish music showcase & industry convention has announced the 100 bands who were chosen from 700 to play the festival by a judging panel of national and international music people.
The festival takes place from Thursday 6th to Saturday 8th October in Dublin venues The Workman’s Club, Wigwam, The Chocolate Factory, Odessa, Tengu, The Mezz and more.
The festival has also announced the inaugural Conor Walsh Memorial Bursary. In March 2016 an alumni and friend of the festival, Conor Walsh from Mayo, died suddenly. At HWCH this year, the festival will ask all 100 bands participating to vote for the act who most embodies Conor’s talent and bravery among their number. That act will be awarded €2,500 toward a recording or tour bill.
