Swing Out for Bushfire Relief @ The Kino (8pm, €11)
An all-star lineup of Cork and int’l jazz musicians come together to raise funds after the devastation of bushfires in Australia.

Shawn James @ Fred Zeppelin’s (8pm, SOLD OUT)
Blues/Kentuckiana road dog heads to the red room on Parliament Street for a sold-out gig.

Cry Monster Cry @ Coughlan’s (9pm, SOLD OUT)
The brothers Martin come to Douglas Street for a sold-out excursion in the backroom venue.

Jive DJs @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €5)
House and techno ’til late, plus a free gat with each ticket.


NEZ @ Dali (11pm, €10)
Belfast-based techno DJ, promoter and label owner Chris Nez makes his Cork debut, with Trail of Thought in support.

SATURDAY MARCH 7TH

GIRL BAND @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €28.50)
The Good Room deliver here, with Girl Band’s first gig since a raucous Pav excursion in 2016. Get down early, as this is close to selling out.

Tomorrows @ Levis’ of Ballydehob (8pm, pass-the-hat)
Dublin guitar-pop collective head for the village venue in Ballydehob.

Ramen x Dali @ Ramen, Carey’s Lane (8.30pm, €30)
Hope and Stephen head downstairs in the old Pav building to do drinks, dancing and DJs in the big Ramen. Price of admission includes a main, drinks and starters.

The Tan Jackets @ The Kino (10pm, €5)
Speciality rock ‘n’ roll outfit do their thing for speciality rock ‘n’ rollers. Girl Band afterparty happens here.

Vinyl Below @ Dali (11pm, €10)
And after stuffing your face below in Ramen, you can head upstairs and sweat it off with the VB residents’ monthly set.

Beats @ Cyprus Avenue (11pm, €5)
Crowd-pleasers and floor-fillers ’til close with DJ Rowan, plus a free drink on entry.

John Blek @ Triskel Christchurch (8pm, €15)
Singer-songwriter and former Rats bandleader launches fifth long-player ‘The Embers’, in association with Coughlans’.

SUNDAY MARCH 8TH:

Kenosha Kid @ Levis’ of Ballydehob (7pm, pass-the-hat)
Athens, Georgia jazz-rock outfit (bandleader Dan Nettles pictured) play a donations gig at the village venue in Ballydehob.

Mick Flannery @ Sea Church, Ballycotton (7pm, SOLD OUT)
Ballycotton’s new seaside venue continues to pack ’em in, with Mick Flannery taking centre-stage. Here’s hoping this gets a few more people thinking about venues in other county towns.

Fempower 2020 @ Cyprus Avenue (7.30pm, €5)
A benefit evening for Sexual Violence Centre Cork, with Krystal Queer, spoken-word artist Saoirse Ní Argáin, and the Niamh Leddy Group.

Emmet Scanlan & What the Good Thought @ The Brú (9pm, free)
One of the best-monikered bands in the country have a tour-ending gig at the McCurtain Street bar/hostel to round off touring for Scanlan’s new single ‘Superstore Flowers’.
