THURSDAY MAY 10TH

The Mouse Outfit @ Cyprus Avenue (8pm, €15)
Mancunian hip-hop crew brings the full band over to Caroline Street for a gig, with support from doomsayer Spekulativ Fiktion.

The Electronic Folk @ The Roundy (8.30, €10)
Showcase gig for Cork collective, including new tunes from: Frozen Petals, Kevin J Power, HYPNOTYST, New Paper Boy, Simon MacHale, and Annette Buckley.

Autonomads @ Fred Zeppelin’s (9pm, €5)
Manchester dub/ska anarcho-punks head to Parliament Street while on Irish tour, with Captain Hotknives and the Audible Joes in tow.

Jealous of the Birds @ DeBarra’s of Clonakilty (9pm, €8)
Naomi Hamilton brings her post-punk-inflected folk to Clonakilty after the release of album ‘Parma Violets’.

The Murphy Beds @ Coughlan’s (9pm, €10)
Presenting traditional and original folk songs with close harmonies and arrangements on bouzouki, guitar, and mandolin. Support from Anna Mieke.

Sara Ryan @ The White Horse, Ballincollig (9pm, €10)
Acclaimed (and Christy Moore-endorsed) singer-songwriter plays at the Ballincollig folk output. Support from the Vestas.

FRIDAY MAY 11TH

Paranoid Vol. 2 @ The Poor Relation (7.30pm, €5)
The second month of the Poor Relation’s monthly doom/sludge/heft residency continues the night’s support of local heaviness: God Alone, Coroza and the Magnapinna playing live, and DJ Moss on the decks til close.

Cruiser & Land Crabs @ The Roundy (8pm, €tbc)
A double-bill of knuckle-duster DIY, with Limerick four-piece Cruiser joined by Corkonian scuttlers Land Crabs.

Siomhá @ Connolly’s of Leap (8.30pm, €10)
Singer and guitarist melds folk, jazz and neo-soul influences, informed by manouche jazz guitar and her travels around the world.

Jinx Lennon @ Fred Zeppelin’s (9pm, €tbc)
Spoken-word veteran takes to stage in the big red room to launch new album ‘Grow a Pair!’. Support from Wasps vs. Humans.

Bedlam Exam Party @ Cyprus Avenue (9pm, €27.50)
Exam wrap-up party for house/techno heads, with Eats Everything, Luigi Madonna, Wired Deep and more to be announced.

The Moonstomp @ The Sextant (9.30, free)
The boss skinheads land on the moon for another night of ska, two-tone, and rocksteady on the quays.

Depth & Weight @ The Liberty Bar (9pm, €5)
A night of electronic music from Drogheda put together by local promoters Alliance. Happening upstairs in former Cork indie temple The Liberty, at the end of North Main Street.

Mayday @ Church (10pm, €22.50)
A blowout night of commercial electronic music with Richy Ahmed, DJ Deece, Kettama, Deep Blue and many more.

M-NUS Monthly @ Dali (11pm, €tbc)
The beast is back: Eddie Kay’s nightclub has found a new monthly residency upstairs in the former Pav. The bossman headlines the initial edition, with support from K Disconaut and Mitch.

SATURDAY MAY 12TH

No Spill Blood & Horse @ Dali (8pm, €8)
A double-bill of unfettered heft from Sargent House synth-punks No Spill Blood and Corkonian noisemakers Horse marks the new iteration of the Pavilion’s first step into heavier sonic climes.

The running is getting close for a coveted spot at Brighton’s Mammothfest metal sojourn this summer, and the last semi-final heat sees God Alone, Grey Stag, Jenova and Archaos contend for the final two places for the 26th’s big finale.

DIY LK Triple-Header @ The Roundy (8pm, €tbc)
Casavettes, TOOMS and Static Vision round up night 2 of an apparent Limerick takeover of the Castle Street home of PLUGD Records.

White Horse Guitar Club @ Connolly’s of Leap (8.30pm, €20)
The in-house band of Ballincollig’s White Horse venue takes an excursion under the hammers.

Restive Nation @ Fred Zeppelin’s (9pm, €5)
Dublin electronic rockers headline on Parliament Street, a packed bill that also includes alt-rockers Drift, Demimonde and debuting doom supergroup Mendicant.

Sebi C & Jimmy Penguin @ The Poor Relation (9pm, €7)
One-half of the now-storied Flying Buttresses duo is joined by full-time skratchlord and Street Fighter champion Jimmy Penguin.

New Jackson @ Dali (11pm, €15)
David Kitt’s electronic alter-ego takes to the stage of the former Pavilion, with support from the lads of County Vinyl.

SUNDAY MAY 13TH

Marlene Enright @ Connolly’s of Leap (8.30pm, €10)
Corkonian singer-songwriter continues her endless trajectory of gigs with an excursion to Leap.

Open Mic @ The Friary (8.30pm, free)
Jason J. Fisher and Bubba Shakespeare head up this weekend’s open mic at the biggest little venue in town.
