Women Talking Dublin screening with Jessie Buckley to raise funds for Matt Talbot Community Trust

Next Saturday May 6th, a special screening of Sarah Polley’s film Women Talking is happening at Stella Cinemas in Rathmines, to raise funds for the Matt Talbot Community Trust.

The 4:30pm screening will be followed by a Q&A and conversation with Mark O Halloran Matt Talbot Community Trust Ambassador Jessie Buckley and some of the Matt Talbot Community Trust participants.

Jessie Buckley stars in the ensemble cast that includes Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Judith Ivey, Ben Whishaw, and Frances McDormand.

The women of an isolated religious colony reveal a shocking secret about the colony’s men. For years, the men have occasionally drugged the women and then raped them. The truth comes out and the women talk about their new situation.

The Matt Talbot Community Trust is a drug free community education programme endeavouring to create change from a grassroots level in Ballyfermot.

All proceeds to the Trust.
