The ever-popular 80,000 capacity festival is already sold out just under a year in advance of its next edition.
Electric Picnic will return on Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August 2026.
Tickets went in about 90 minutes after going on sale at 9am this morning to loyalty and general sale.
The 2025 edition felt like it mark a sea change for the festival, certainly from the outside, as one which increasingly catered to an Irish language audience.
As well as a main stage set from provocateurs and Palestine activists Kneecap, there was an increase of Gaeilge camping areas, An Puball Gaeilge continued to grow as an area and Irish was encouraged at Hazelwood and Irish-language station TG4 were the only TV station to broadcast from Stradbally.
I suspect next year’s Gaeilge offering to expand once more.
Meanwhile Melvin Benn says two of the main headliners are already fully booked for 2026.
2025’s edition including headliners Sam Fender, Chappell Roan, Kings Of Leon, Hozier with Kingfisher, Amble and Noel and Mike Hogan of the Cranberries performing songs with Dermot Kennedy and the RTÉ Orchestra.
