Ireland is the focus country in Groningen from January 13th to 15th at Eurosonic in the Netherlands, with F3miii, THEATRE and Esmeralda Road among the new names, bringing the Irish total to 21.
Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) has announced 18 more Irish acts for Eurosonic 2027, which runs from Wednesday January 13th to Friday January 15th in Groningen, the Netherlands. They join Aaron Rowe, Bleech 9:3 and mischa and the bear, who were confirmed in the first wave of announcements, bringing the total to 21 Irish acts.
As previously reported, Ireland is the focus country at the 2027 edition, with ESNS working in close cooperation with First Music Contact and RTÉ 2FM as media partner on a programme that celebrates Irish music success and the country’s investment in its artists.
By our count, nine of the 21 acts played Ireland Music Week last week, a link First Music Contact CEO Angela Dorgan highlighted as a domestic-to-international showcase pipeline that has been nurtured for many years.
“We are delighted to see the wide variety of genres and exceptional Irish talent reflected in the line-up at Eurosonic 2027. it is also exciting for us that ESNS selected so many artists from our showcase festival Ireland Music Week. this domestic to international showcase pipeline has been nurtured for many years.”
