Charlotte Hatherely – Behave

Charlotte Hatherley

Perhaps the catchiest song I’ve heard since the start of the year (close is The Klaxons – “Golden Skans”), the ex-Ash guitarist is distancing herself further from her former band, with the release of the Behave EP and on her own label too.

Behave is an indie-pop wonder, the kind of understated song which reveals its brilliance in the weaving guitar hooks and the spectral chorus. Love it. Thanks to Gav for the heads up.

  1. OK… now I’ve had this track for a couple days. This is that rare solitary track that I just put on repeat for extended periods of time. I have to agree that it’s very catchy and pop-ish which combined with my enthusiasm for it has started making my roomates and girlfriend question my heterosexual status.

  3. It’s clearly a song for guys even though it’s written and performed by a lady, (Just Look at the lyrics – lol). Catchy and kinda dare I say romantic without being over-repetative or soppy!
