A list of events taking place over the next seven days in Dublin. This week I’m most looking forward to the Richter party, seeing Neon Indian live for the first time, the U:Mack party featuring Battles et al and the Bring the Toys event in Twisted Pepper on Saturday (I’m DJing upstairs at the Comic Cast event FYI). cannot wait until thursday so i can finally freak out to the mars volta live for the first time 😀 its gonna be epic
I believe Noah and the Whale are playing this Friday in Shankill, of all places. I might be going.
Really?
where did you hear that?
From someone who lives there, apparently the local pub (Brady’s, I think) won an Arthur’s Day competition, and gets to play venue for the band. Could be good.
Hah, that ridiculous. Thats my parents local – might actually pop down there for a bit now!
Tonight (Thu 10th Dec) also has a far better and cheaper option than those listed above. You can come to the Bernard Shaw for LobsterBoy’s monthly club night which will be taken over by Zabba. It’s free in and runs 8pm till midnight. More details: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=161610559546&index=1
Damo, have you got a myspace?
Yeah, it’s a tad blank though. http://www.myspace.com/zabbamusic
We’ve just used Facebook to spam people, MySpace seems so cold and lonely these days.
How odd is that!seems to be true alright, but you can’t just turn up on the night.

Har Mar was brilliant.
I felt the need to apologise to him afterwards because there was only 20 people there.
mars volta was gig of the year for me ,absolutley stunning visuals ,sound was pretty good and the band were the tightest ive seen ,scissor kicking ,high jumping ,mic tossing and the obligitory lecture for the audience…..pure genius
What about Bell X1 in the Olympia. It was such a cool gig. Marz Volta were ok. They were much better at oxegen last year. The singer is really poor.
considering you preffered bell x1 to the mars volta ill disregard the rest of what you said lmfao……bell x1…are you for real!!!!!!!! that guys lyrics are embaressingly pompous ,and cringeworthley poor ,and he desperatley wishes he was in talking heads…..at least you enjoyd it though 😉
