A two-day festival in two different cities celebrating music of a shoegaze persuasion, think hazy fuzz, reverb and dreamy melodies is back for a second year.
Old Crows Promotions‘ Gazefest will take place in two different venues in two different cities, Dublin and Belfast this August, with slowcore artist Sign Crushes Motorist on the bill.
Bands from Ireland and Scotland are on the bills of the festival, which echoing the oft-citied shoegaze Melody Maker line is the “The Fest That Celebrates Itself’
The festival will take place over two dates August 30th and August 31st.
Friday August 30th at the Grand Social in Dublin features live sets from Virgins (Belfast), Affection to Rent (Dublin) and Skyless (Dublin) and serves as a taster for the Belfast gig the next night.
Saturday August 31st at Oh Yeah Centre, Belfast is the main event with 9 bands playing live including Virgins (Belfast), Sign Crushes Motorist (Donegal), Wynona Bleach (Belfast), Sunstinger (Scotland), In Athens (Cork), Affection to Rent (Dublin), Madams Last Discovery (Belfast), Gush (Belfast) and Klyda (Belfast).
The Belfast gig runs from 2pm-11pm and is a 14+ gig, giving young people access to the event.
