And So I Watch You From Afar – ‘A Slow Unfolding Of Wings’
Welcome back And So I Watch You From Afar.
The Belfast band will release their fifth album The Endless Shimmering on 20th October 2017 through Sargent House.
‘A Slow Unfolding Of Wings’ is the first taste of that material and on the surface it harks back to the band’s earlier work, with the band guitarists Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy, bassist Johnathan Adger and drummer Chris Wee, reverting to more instrumental style than the previous two albums so there’s less vocals this time out.
It was recorded Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket, Rhode Island in March 2017 during s major snow storm. “We tracked, ate, washed and slept at the studio,” Friers says. “And 9 days later we had recorded and mixed the entire album just as the snow began to melt.”
