Belfast’s AVA Festival and Conference which takes place from June 1st to 2nd has announced that Chicago producer Larry Heard aka MR Fingers will be performing at the festival as well as taking part in the conference as a keynote speaker. Mr Fingers will be releasing his first album in 25 years this April.

Bicep will also be speaking at the conference discussing their album and live shows and Bulgarian producer Kink will be giving a live masterclass.

The festival moves from 3 stages to 4 this summer, Boiler Room returns once more and expands to two days, there will be a Red Bull Music Academy’s own’ Loading Bay’ stage, and Smirnoff are doing a fourth stage while more conference panels, talks and workshops are promised for June 1st.

Tickets are available from £70 and a bus from and to Dublin is also offered.

A bunch of tiers of Forbidden Fruit tickets went on sale yesterday and some sold out very quickly.

With headliners Flying Lotus, Bon Iver, Aphex Twin and Orbital, already announced, the organisers announced more names today including: Moderat, Maceo Plex, Motor City Drum Ensemble, NAO, KiNK & Mall Grab.
