Beyond The Pale has announced Mike D of Beastie Boys and RTÉ 2FM Live stage.
The latest additions to its Sunday lineup at the Glendalough Estate, Co. Wicklow on June 14th.
It will be his is first Irish performance in almost two decades, and the first time any member of Beastie Boys has stepped onto a live stage in Europe since the group ceased performing following the passing of Adam Yauch in 2012.
Mike D releases his debut solo single tomorrow, Friday May 8th, and the Beyond The Pale appearance will see him perform with a six-piece band – his first live project in 14 years.
The set will include reinterpretations of Beastie Boys’ classics woven into new material. Beastie Boys’ last Irish show was headlining Electric Picnic in 2007.
He’s also announced shows at Beyond The Streets in Paris, and Los Angeles, Pasadena, and Brooklyn.

Sunday’s full lineup alongside Mike D includes Father John Misty, Honey Dijon, Of Monsters and Men, NewDad, Dove Ellis, Max Cooper (3D/AV Live), Claptone, Horace Andy and the Dub Asante Band feat. Matic Horns, Nouvelle Vague, Elaine Mai, TSHA, Overhead The Albatross, Gabriels (DJ set) and Irvine Welsh. Sunday Day Tickets are available now – the festival is 30 minutes from Dublin with shuttles from Bray DART Station.
Also announced today: a new Outpost Stage with RTÉ 2FM Live, dedicated to breakthrough Irish music talent across the full weekend. The lineup includes Offica, Curtisy, Maykay of Fight Like Apes, Overhead The Albatross, Croíthe, Jessica Doolan, Dose, Evan Gildersleeve, Maicín, Mischa and the Bear, Phoeno, Roe Byrne, Sei Green, Skanger, Chris Wilson and Zeztra.
A new Sunday Club package is launched and on sale Friday at 10am – a Sunday Day Ticket plus access to the Round Tower Lounge hospitality space, with optional add-ons including priority restaurant access (Host, Ibíle, Reggie’s) and the Anam Kara Wellness sanctuary hosted by Sophie Anderton, offering yoga, breathwork, meditation and sound baths within the Glendalough estate. Sunday Day Tickets and Sunday Club both include Sunday night camping.
