Bingo Loco & Marcus O’Laoire have opened a bar on Francis Street called Anti Social

Dublin 8 has become a hotspot for new bars of late with the likes of Lucky’s, The Circular, The Fourth Corner and now, Anti Social setting up shop in the area.

Anti Social is a new bar on Francis Street from the team behind Bingo Loco, Create Live with close cohort and general sounder DJ buzzer Marcus O’Laoire.

The bar is a fairly simple room that feels somewhat different from the norm, with large couches, a dog friendly policy, giant Mimosas (Megamosas), tattoo artists on call on Sunday, Espresso Martinis on tap along with a menu of Sheridan’s cheeses, and sugar roast ham toasties (or Crisp Sambos) and organic and natural wines along with craft beers.

Lined up for the social activities are DJ sets of course, Anti Social bingo, pop culture trivia, arcades, board games, industry nights, craft markets, kilo vintage sales, album listening parties and art exhibitions.

As for the name, well it’s named in opposition. There’s no TV screens and the focus is on interactive fun and the chats so it’s a bit tongue in cheek.
