Blood Orange – ‘Sutphin Boulevard’
Lightspeed Champion frontman Dev Hynes went and packed himself off to Noo Yawk a couple of years ago where he’s probably been hanging out with loads of new hipster friends in Williamsburg resulting in collabs like this. The result of his own musical exploration is Blood Orange, an ’80s dark disco soul project is about to get a proper album release in early August on Domino after a mixtape and a 7″ of ‘Dinner’.
‘Sutphin Boulevard’ is the second song on the tracklisting for the album Coastal Grooves (produced by Ariel Rechtshaid), a more immediate and pleasing song than ‘Dinner’. Listen and download:
