DEAF are kicking things off a little early this year with a fundraising event on the 21st of August in Meeting House Square (which will have a temporary roof & full bar for evening – let’s hope that addresses the sound issues.) Tickets are €10 from tickets.ie and in the shops below from Friday.
The lineup is:
The Jimmy Cake, Dark Room Notes, Spilly Walker, Boxcutter, Channel One, Thread Pulls, Sarsparilla, Patrick Kelleher & his Cold Dead Hands.
All artists are performing for free, noble souls they are. This year’s DEAF sees the likes of Dam Funk (!), Modeselektor (!!), Grouper(!!!!), Soap & Skin, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Surgeon, Christian Vogel, Planetary Assault Systems, John Weise & Roger Doyle playing. DEAF are looking for volunteers for the fundraising gig also.
A Spilly Walker live video is after the jump.
