Friday, Homebeat showcase @ Oxjam tent

Harry Bookless and Aaron Page’s folk and electronic songs feature city field recordings and an off-kilter touch. Listen to their brilliant ‘Roots’ single.

12. Young Fathers

yf

Friday, Body & Soul main stage, 1:30am

Scottish alternative hip-hop group have a fearsome live reputation. Looking forward to this.

Young Fathers | War | The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern (May 3, 2014)

Other Voices stage – TBC

The Ethiopian-born Finland-raised singer songwriter sings deep and dank acoustic folk music. Recently signed to Sub Pop, Wagner sounds like she was influenced by mean and moody singers like Nick Cave. This is stark fingerpicking night-time music for dark hearts.

14. Girl Band

Untitled-1-Recovered

Friday, Body & Stage Main Stage, 9:15pm

They’ve been responsible for two of the finest pieces of rock music to come out of Ireland in a long while this year.

Gilla Band - Lawman [offical video]

15. Somerville

somerville

Sunday, Earthship stage, 4:30pm + Cultivate Sound Stage 5pm

Galway’s Maria Somerville makes slow, moving music with the barest of instruments and the most delicate of touch. She’s gearing up to release her debut EP soon and recent sets including our recent Fitzwilliam Square gig showed progress and a burgeoning talent.
