Fever Ray & Alison Goldfrapp added to Body & Soul
After the recent Hennessy Hip-Hop House lineup addition, Body & Soul has added two big headline names over the bank holiday weekend.
Fever Ray and Alison Goldfrapp have been added to the festival from June 16th to 18th at Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath.
Fever Ray, of course is the Swedish electro avant-pop artist Karin Dreijer who was formerly of the electronic music duo The Knife, formed with their brother Olof in 1999, and who released one of my favourite ever records – Silent Shout in 2006, before forming the darker ambient pop of Fever Ray, and putting on huge live productions involving lasers and a large on-stage cast. Radical Romantics is Fever Ray’s latest album, released last month, was their first album in five years and features Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and Vessel.
Alison Goldfrapp is the vocalist and one half of Goldfrapp, whose solo material kicked off last year with a dance vibe with collaboratations with Royksopp and Claptone, and recent single ‘So Hard So Hot’.
Previously announced acts for the festival include Moderat, Blessed Madonna, The Murder Capital, Gilles Peterson, Rea Lies, Shanti Celeste, Sorcha Richardson and more.
