Fight Like Apes’ self-titled third album is getting a vinyl release next month

Avatar

The Irish post-punk synth pop band Fight Like Apes have already sold out 15th year celebration shows of their debut album Fight Like Apes and The Mystery of The Golden Medallion in Dublin and London next month, along with vinyl reissues of that album on sale on Bandcamp / Rubyworks and upcoming shows.

Now, a reissue of the band’s third self-titled 2015 album on vinyl for the first time is going on sale also through Alcopop! Records on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th.

Originally released in 2015 on CD/digital, the record will now be available on a limited run of eco vinyl (each colour different), with pre orders on sale now.

“We decided to finally release the album on vinyl because it’s way cooler to have a rake of unsold vinyl than a boatload of unsold CDs with no CD player. We were all fairly burned out by the time the third album came out and didn’t really want to be in a band anymore. It turns out it’s harder to not be in a band than it is to be in a band. We miss the validation and shame of other people both liking and being revolted by our music. We’re hoping to hit the big time. Straight to the top. The sky’s the limit.”
