The hottest show in town touched down in Dublin on Saturday with Fred Again..’s last minute USB002 popup gig series of 10 show in 10 cities in 10 weeks arriving in Dublin.
The interest in the gig was unprecedented for the 3,500 capacity RDS Simmonscourt show (seriously – it helped crash the site last week) and Fred played another show on Thursday night in the much smaller Button Factory.
Fred used his time in Ireland to release ‘Hardstyle 2’ his collaboration with Kettama, and he was live streaming a studio session on Thursday evening with Athlone rapper Reggie formerly Reggie B, and Dublin Gliders duo Travy and Elzzz.
The Fred Again.. remix of Reggie’s ‘Talk Of The Town’, which was originally released in 2022, was top of the creative agenda, along with a tune featuring the Gliders duo.
Clips of Fred Again.. and Reggie’s track ‘Talk Of The Town’ had surfaced from live sets over the last six months…
The pair performed it on Thursday in Button Factory for the first time before the big one again on Saturday, where Travy and Elzz also played alongside Amyl, Joy Anonymous and Shady Nasty.
The song also features production from Sammy Virij.
The recorded version of the song which was being tweaked and recorded live on stream last Thursday is out now officially.
