Fundraiser launched for Belfast's The 343 as part of larger UK #SaveOurVenues campaign

A UK venue representative body – Music Venue Trust has launched a campaign to help provide financial assistance to independent venues.

Some crucial venues in Belfast and NI are included amongst the mix.

The 343, an “Artist-Focused, Feminist-led, Queer Arts Space in East Belfast”, is one of the venues vying for public support.

Given the stark fiscal reality of the COVID-19 pandemic for small venues (closed for the foreseeable future), venues like The 343 are seriously at risk of closing forever. This is the motivation behind the #SaveOurVenues campaign.

The venue, as well as hosting productions and gigs, serves as a rehersal space for local artists and performers.

Resources like this are crucial to the grassroots development of Irish and NI artists, if you have a few bob to spare and you want to support, you can head over the venue’s Kickstarter page here.
