The Irish ensemble take over the Cube, the Space Upstairs and the bar on Friday December 11th with new arrangements, sets from Nash Paints and E The Artist, and a concert of the music of Aphex Twin.
Glasshouse mark ten years with a one-night takeover of Project Arts Centre in Dublin’s Temple Bar on Friday December 11th. The bar opens at 7pm, with performances from 7:30pm until late and a DJ from 10pm.
Over ten years the ensemble have brought classical and contemporary instrumentation to new audiences, presenting new arrangements of popular music and commissioning new work by Irish artists.
They have sold out the National Concert Hall with arrangements of Björk, Sigur Rós and Ryuichi Sakamoto, played Galway International Arts Festival and the Pavilion Theatre, and premiered their first opera, Hysterically Shopping!, at Dublin Theatre Festival this year. We hosted two nights of their Sufjan Stevens performances at Douglas Hyde Gallery in 2018.
For the anniversary, two resident ensembles will perform new arrangements by Aran O’Grady and Lucia Rice made with Roger Doyle and Olwen Fouéré, Jasmine Wood and Saoirse Miller. There are also sets from Nash Paints and E The Artist, along with the Glasshouse concert of the music of Aphex Twin.

We have followed that project since the Aphex Twin show in 2021 and the EP of Aphex Twin covers in 2022. A Glasshouse show is always worth the experience.
