I Have A Tribe – ‘Medicine From Calgary’
One of my favourite new Irish artists, Patrick O’Laoghaire aka I Have A Tribe has an EP coming on December 4th on Grönland Records, with production by Rob Ellis who has recently worked with Anna Calvi and Bat For Lashes.
Earlier this year, he stunned with ‘Scandanavia’ and as anyone whose seen a live show can attest to, he has those kinds of songs in spades.
‘Medicine From Calgary’, from the EP, is another of those, which features the playing of Ellis alongside Fight Like Apes’ Mary-Kate Geraghty, Ian Oliver and Ruth Wakefield (cello). It is a bewitching and beguiling song that is I Have A Tribe’s most direct song to date.
