Indie-Disco fiends Friendly Fires announces their first album in 8 years ‘Inflorescent’

Luke Sharkey

It seems like the wait for a new Friendly Fires project is, at last, coming to a close.

The band have announced the release of Inflorescent on August 16th, their first album in 8 years. It’s sure to be a relief for fans, who’ve been anxious about the group’s reluctantness to commit to a long play.

To mark the occasion, the band released a cracking new single called ‘Silhouettes’. It’s pure indie-disco gold, laden with earworm hooks and tight grooves.

This, combined with the two other singles thus released from the LP ‘Love Like Waves’ and ‘Heaven Let Me In’ are damn fine indicators that Inflorescent is going to be a very special album.
