Intro: My Dance Radio – new Dublin synth-pop duo
My Dance Radio are a new band based in Dublin featuring the talents of Colm McGowan (guitar/drums) and Mani O’Mahony (vocals / synths), two musicians who have been performing with Dublin’s Mossy Nolan and Cork band Jabbas respectively. My Dance Radio are definitely more synth-pop than folk or rock as their first single ‘Art Of Rejection’ makes clear. It’s a laidback track with digitally altered-funk guitar, big string-like synthesizers and an ’80s-leaning pop vocal.
‘Art Of Rejection’ is the first single in a series of pay-what-you-want singles, one per month from the duo over the course of the year. The song is available on Bandcamp.
