Intro: Northern Irish pop artist Tabitha Smyth has a pop belter with ‘Mercury In Retrograde’
Tabitha Smyth is a Northern Irish pop-leaning singer-songwriter whose debut single ‘Sad About Nothing’ really impressed me upon release in May.
That song was produced by Kris Platt and Daniel Ball (formerly frontmen of Blue Americans), and the followup ‘Mercury In Retrograde’ is the second track from an upcoming EP also working with the pair.
It’s a more immediate pop song with a belter of a chorus.
Tabitha is one to watch.
“I wrote ‘Mercury in Retrograde’ at a time when it felt like everyone around me was going through it, including myself. It was hard to talk to anyone about how you were feeling because they were feeling the exact same way. It took a quick google search to see that it wasn’t our fault obviously, it was Mercury’s.
Watch the music video for the song by Belfast videographer Bry Cole, co-directed by Tabitha.
