Ireland Music Week announces Tebi Rex, Junior Brother, April, Mango X Mathman, Kitt Philippa & more for industry showcase
Ireland Music Week, the nation’s biggest industry showcase event, has today announced its lineup for 2019.
The festival, this year rebranded from Hard Working Class Heroes, takes place in multiple locations across Dublin city from October 1st-5th.
While industry delegates still have to be announced, audiences now know who to expect to hear playing at the showcases.
It’s a strong showing this year, I feel like IMW have made smart bookings – acts that largely are at a stage in their development that they would be of interest to international industry heads. Tebi Rex have all the makings of mainstream success, as does Cork act Rushes and pop group Elm.
Junior Brother has a full length under his belt, plus tons of acclaim and buzz at the moment. We await new material from Happyalone. but there’s no real doubt they’ll go far. Mango X Mathman have long been one of the nation’s best hip-hop ambassadors. With the release of Casual Work on the way, 2019 is the right time for them to be heading to Ireland Music Week.
Over 500 acts put their name forward for consideration through the Breaking Tunes application process, this has been narrowed down to just 50.
While much of IMW’s most worthwhile events are based around their discussion panels and educational talks, audiences can purchase weekend passes to all of the gigs here for €35+.
