The young Northern Irish artist Lauren Ann made an impression on our listening habits last year with just a couple of tracks that swayed between grunge and indie pop that confirmed a new talent that we included in the top 40 new Irish acts of 2020.
For the followup, Lauren Ann delves deeper into ’80s and ’90s alternative inspirations with ‘Angel Eyes’ , a melodic grunge track about falling for someone when maybe you shouldn’t. I definitely hear a bit of Pixies influence on it.
‘Angel Eyes’ is out Friday January 29th on Beardfire Music, the label and studio behind the likes of RUNAH (Max Music Publishing/Milleville Records) and Patricia Lalor (now Warner Music).
‘Angel Eyes’ was recorded, produced, mixed and mastered in Dublin at Beardfire Studio by producer David Virgin and his sons Rohan Healy and Al Quiff.
