I’m a little saddened that Marina chose the easy path for this song, the euphoric dance pop that’s so prevalent right now, the Guetta-isation of pop or whatever you want to call it. Marina’s voice has always been her chief asset but when it’s matched to music that is so generic, it’s hard to be so enthused. Marina clearly has a plan with her Electra Heart character and her voice is the standout here. There’s not much of that originality that drew me to her music in the first place, regardless of the song’s standard pop blush.

This is not good.
I lost interest in Marina when she started directing her music at the american mainstream – such a pity cause obsessions and Mowgli road were superb
