Massive Attack's 3D and Killer Mike have remixed Kneecap

Kneecap have released a time-limited deluxe digital version of Fenian featuring two new versions of tracks from the album – and the Irish trio are not messing around.

‘Smugglers and Scholars’ gets a new version featuring Atlanta rapper and Run The Jewels member Killer Mike, while ‘Palestine’ receives a remix from 3D – Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, who released ‘Boots on the Ground’ with Tom Waits just last month in response to the current American political climate.

Both connections make complete sense for a band whose music has always operated at the intersection of language, politics and sonic ambition, and Massive Attack and Kneecap have developed a close kinship in opposition to the establishment of late.

The two tracks are available on iTunes and the Kneecap music store until 23:59 this Thursday.
